EBRS is a pay and reward consultancy based in South Wales. We mainly work with charities, housing associations and private sector companies across the UK. We take time to find out what our clients need and then carefully tailor our support accordingly. We're passionate about reward and work hard to deliver quality results.
About EBRSBased in Chepstow, we provide a quality, flexible service that meets your needs. We are a small, independent company so operate without the high overheads and premium fee rates of larger consultancies.
As well as working directly with a range of clients in different sectors, we also provide services to independent HR consultancies that don't have their own reward expertise.
At EBRS, we actually enjoy working with large volumes of data, but we don't lose sight of the fact that the numbers represent real people, their jobs and their livelihoods. Rest assured that we will deal with your data accurately and sensitively, taking account of the impact that any proposals would have on your employees.
As well as handling reward issues, the EBRS team is accustomed to dealing with a broad range of HR matters. If a project needs specific expertise that we can't help with, then we can call on the support of our network of experts to provide the answer.

Meet Our Directors
KARL ELLISKarl is Director and lead consultant at EBRS. He is a reward specialist and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, with nearly 30 years of broad HR experience. He has extensive reward experience across the public and private sectors, providing practical advice and helping clients to establish and maintain effective reward strategies.
Before launching EBRS, Karl led the pay and reward team in the HR consulting arm of Smith & Williamson. Karl has also worked for Lloyds Banking Group, first as an HR Business Partner specialising in policies and projects, then coordinating C&G's annual salary review and flexible benefits processes.
He has worked closely with employer groups, addressing housing sector events run by the RSL Network, the NHF Eastern Region HR Forum and Community Housing Cymru. Karl has also spoken at regional CIPD events on reward topics.

ALISON ELLISAlison is Director and Reward Specialist. She has been working at EBRS since 2012. It probably makes us the longest-serving husband and wife team in reward - and we're still talking!
An expert in our job evaluation system and salary databases, she also helps facilitate focus groups with our clients.
With a wealth of experience in financial services in a variety of organisations, she understands how employees feel about the way reward systems impact on them.
